Cory selected for Cornwall Waste & Recycling collection Date: 02-11-2011 Cory Environmental Municipal Services has been appointed by Cornwall Council as the preferred bidder for the contract for Cornwall’s Collection and Cleansing services. Commenting on the selection, Nigel Carr, General Manager for Cory Environmental Municipal Services, said: “Cory Environmental is delighted to have been selected by Cornwall Council for the Waste and Recycling collection, Street and Beach Cleansing and Associated Services contract. Cory has been operating in Cornwall, near Truro, since 1990, providing the waste and recycling collection, street cleansing and beach cleaning contract in the former Carrick District Council area.” Nigel added: “This year we were proud to have helped Truro City Council win the title 'Britain's Cleanest City'.” The recommendation to appoint Cory as preferred bidder is subject to the successful conclusion of the final negotiations and a ten day legal ‘standstill’ period.
