Riverside Resource Recovery Facility - Belvedere, London Borough of Bexley

The Riverside Resource Recovery (RRR) Facility at Belvedere, also referred to as an Energy from Waste (EfW) plant, is Cory Environmental's single most significant development project. When operational, it will be one of the UK's most efficient energy recovery plants, processing waste from households and businesses in central London, as well as an important strategic waste management facility for the capital. It will be capable of managing an average of 585,000 tonnes of residual waste each year, over its life, with an annual throughput of up to 670,000 tonnes.

The development of the facility not only allows Cory to maintain a scale presence in the very important London market but also provides evidence of the company's ability to deliver major waste management projects. To achieve this, Cory had to manage one of the longest and most high profile planning processes for any waste project in the UK.
